A day after former president Jacob Zuma was taken into custody to serve a 15-month prison sentence, violent protests erupted in KwaZulu-Natal. These would quickly turn into riots, resulting in hundreds of businesses looted and burnt down in parts of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. As many lost their lives and many more their livelihoods, one of Zuma's daughter's would encourage the unrest on Twitter, posting videos of burning trucks, among others, caption: “We see you! Amandla”
